Plenty of electric energy at Goodison.

Rather do it by beating Arsenal today - that will also take a lot of pressure off the team on Thursday.

Jinx! Moi? Never!!!

If we beat Norwich as we should do . It's irrelevant what the others do .

Re: Saturday football
Mathematically, Brentford could still qualify for Europe by winning all their remaining games AND there being no remaining matches between those teams occupying 7th to 13th spot. Were playing B&HA so that's probably enough to rule them out.

Using the same "logic" Aston Villa could get 55 points from their remaining games:

Burnley v Aston Villa 07 May 2022
Aston Villa v Liverpool 10 May 2022
Aston Villa v Crystal Palace 15 May 2022
Aston Villa v Burnley 19 May 2022
Manchester City v Aston Villa 22 May 2022

but I seriously doubt it given their run-in. Also, if there's another game apart from WHU v B&HA betweens in 7th to 12th places in the run up, that's Europe gone for them, too.

Crystal Palace can also get to 53 points by winning all their remaining games. They have a surprisingly easy run-in, too:

Crystal Palace v Watford 07 May 2022
Aston Villa v Crystal Palace 15 May 2022
Everton v Crystal Palace 19 May 2022
Crystal Palace v Manchester United 22 May 2022

Again it's the number of games between 7th & 11th place remaining that will stop them.

Surprisingly, Leicester Citt can still hit 60 points, by winning all of:

Tottenham Hotspur v Leicester City 01 May 2022
Leicester City v Everton 07 May 2022
Leicester City v Norwich City 11 May 2022
Watford v Leicester City 15 May 2022
Chelsea v Leicester City 19 May 2022
Leicester City v Southampton 22 May 2022

...and 57 even if they lose today. I'll leave that one with you.

Newcastle, again mathematically, could match our current points total by winning all of:

Manchester City v Newcastle United 07 May 2022
Newcastle United v Arsenal 15 May 2022
Burnley v Newcastle United 22 May 2022

OOOH look! There's a pink pig doing aerobatics.

Brighton & Hove Albion can also mathematically hit 53 points by winning all of:

Brighton & Hove Albion v Manchester United 07 May 2022
Leeds United v Brighton & Hove Albion 15 May 2022
Brighton & Hove Albion v West Ham United 22 May 2022

With the sort of roll they're on...

Its never over till the fat Frank sings

Good exciting end to season with the champion, the euro places, the relegation all playing out till the end. Plus, of course all the cups.

Re: Saturday football
Fair play to Brighton, have done brilliantly for us in the last few weeks winning at Arsenal, Tottenham & Wolves.
Potter probably doesnt want the season to end.

Not sure what has happened at Wolves but they have hit the wall & have the top 3 still to play.
Lage probably wants the season to end today.

Re: Saturday football
Earlier this season I was turning my nose up at the Conference, but you can see now that the clubs left in it are taking it very seriously and want to win it, plus of course it means more trips for our fans. 6th is still possible, but if we lose today and Man U beat the Bees it won't look good.

A result tomorrow could spark momentum, to win all our remaining games.

BELIEVE!!!!!

Re: Saturday football
Everton look fucked, with the form they are in and 5 points adrift, don’t look good, Leeds have now replaced Burnley as the other candidate for the drop IMO and although they got soundly beaten by Man City, they had some fight in them.

Brighton did us a massive favour, we should get 7th at least, hopefully more ManU fuck ups and 6th though…wont hold my breath on that!

Our league form is terrible, need a result tomorrow, can't keep putting all our eggs in the EL basket and hope others lose in the league.

Yeah 7th guaranteed now with Wolves losing today. They’ve still got to play Man City and Liverpool.

7th and the semis of the EL is a superb season.

Re: Saturday football
Beat Norwich and 7th basically guaranteed.

6th in our hands but unlikely we’ll take 4 points from City and Arsenal which is what it would need.

Will Conference League be enough for Declan?

7th place and european football would be a superb achievement considering the size of our squad

Re: Saturday football
Everton will go. Does us a favour regards attracting signings and potential league position next season.

Looks like we should get 7th, don't think we will get 6th, Man United have much easier run in.

Texas Iron 8:25 Sat Apr 30
Re: Saturday football
6 or 7th still possible…

.but can’t switch off…

Need at least 6/points from. Last 4 Games…

Plus the EL semifinal and hopefully final

Sir Alf 8:08 Sat Apr 30
Re: Saturday football
Yeah I think 7th looks most likely.

At the other end, I would to see Everton go but based on fixtures it looks like Leeds. That said, Everton have to beat Brentford, Palace at home and Watford away as Leeds are 5 points ahead and May scrape a draw in their very hard remaining fixtures

Shame, would love to see Fatty’s face and the end of the Sky love in for him :-)
